People would always tell me “You, should be a travel agent”. So, I become one. I hope to offer full travel advisor services in the future, but I am not sure I have time right now to do my clients justice. Travel insurance offers a layer of protection from the financial burden of “surprises”. Depending on the coverage, it can refund you for lost luggage, reimburse you for unexpected expenses due to long delays or trip interruptions, and both cover and help you find medical care, if you unexpectedly fall ill, as well as covering medical evacuations.
Travel insurance can be purchased to cover one entire trip, or if you travel a lot (3+ times a year), it can be purchased as an annual policy. In the past, I have only purchased travel insurance for “big trips”, but had I known about the annual policy, I would have done that much sooner.
